The recent P3DL conference brought together industry leaders to discuss the latest advancements in geospatial technologies. A variety of topics were covered including topics in 3D tradecraft and tools, applied photogrammetry, LiDAR sensors, 3D reconstruction/visualization and geopositioning/accuracy. Our presentation focused on the critical issue of calibration and alignment, offering insights into the complexities and solutions for merging LiDAR and photogrammetry datasets. The conference highlighted the ongoing innovation in the field, crucial for applications ranging from forest voxel content estimation to strengthening bathymetric LiDAR.
